The moral of this hilarious story is, you arent folding so you might as well do the shoving. If there is anychance that you are folding the nuts in that spot, then I agree, poker is not for you. You obviously know you arent folding....You just got unlucky, coolered, cold decked, and took a bad beat.

You took a bad beat, but you cannot ever question yourself for getting all your money in with the nuts. Bad beats happen, you can't pass up advantage simply because someone latter might have a better hand. All starting hands fall into this category.

Yes, if it were the first hand at the WSOP, I'd shove all my chips in. If I could I'd also get all my chips in with AA preflop at any point in a standard tourny, and so would almost every poster here.

I don't see any other outcome. You aren't folding a straight.

I think you should have pushed, knowing that in a multiway hand someone was going to call to pay off your straight. And it would have been trip 10's calling. And flush draw might have had odds to call at that time, too. And you still would be in the same place.... unlucky on fourth or fifth street.

Maybe i can make the last post in this thread:

Op: Just remember and take it as a truth:

1) If you have the nuts, then get your money in. And never second guess yourself.
2) If you fear of getting outdrawn, quit poker, because it will happen so often.
3) You can`t wait for 80-20 Spots, unless the blinds never increase. You have the best hand, you will win MOST of the time, but NOT EVERY time

4) Read more posts here and maybe some points will get clear.
