$9.95 is pretty stiff for small deposits... you would have to deposti moe than $1000 for it to be equal to or cheaper than other methods.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's not true. Most methods are around 3% - 6% so even if you do $500 with Moneygram you are only paying 2% and that's not bad. And how can you play on less than $1000 anyway?

I deposited $500 on stars via Moneygram last week. It was in my account in about an hour. I live in San Francisco though and have an agent down the block so it's not like I had to drive very far.

Seems the main reason you aren't hearing about it is that the fees only become managable for large deposits and most people don't make large deposits.

Why won't stars pick up the fees, they do on other methods of deposit?

I've always wondered about Diners Club myself. I haven't heard a word about it from anyone.

That's because no one under 75 has a Diners Club. Remember who loves you, Baby.

The prepaid cards are fine but the 6% juice I've seen at Walgreens is brutal. I've been playing PS with a small roll to get the feel and about to move most of my roll there - going to look into Moneygram. Thanks.

I'd have to guess location problems for some areas as well as a little laziness thrown in.

Can you bring your credit/debit card to a Moneygrams and have them take from that, or is it just cash by the way?

Went thru the process yesterday afternoon. Painless and recommended. $1,009.95 in cash for $1,000 in Stars funds almost instantaneously after I handed the clerk the cash. I definitely prefer this to any e-wallet or prepaid VISA option, post-NETeller fiasco, that is.
