had a similar discussion, because I had KK vs AA about 15 times in 60k hands and only once AA vs KK so it really pisses me off.

(today twice again)

Preflop? Never.

Unless given a very very very good reason.

If someone flips over and shows me they have aces I will fold preflop if I'm not getting 5-1 to call, otherwise never.

some of you seem to be missing the point.

i'm not asking if i should fold i'm asking which one of you is folding kk since i'm hardly ever on the good side of the kk to aa.

I have folded QQ pf twice of FT and i have folded KK 1 time, and i have folded AA 2 times...

First time i ever folded AA pf, it was a MAJOR accident (i was multitabling....), a 4 allins before me totaling 125$ at a 25$NL accident...nearly [censored] myself when i did it...woulda flopped trips and turned quads.....

2nd time i was in a 8$ tourney with with 5600 chips left and 2 from cashing. blinds were 300-600 and i was button and there were 4ppl in the hand for over 12k each and 2 of them were all in. hands were 1010-JJ-KK-AA, flop was 10-10-x.....i cashed and ended up making final table.

so much for aces.

Before this thread gets hijacked into another discussion of when it might be right to fold KK preflop, and why we changed the SSNL FAQ to say that it is usually wrong to fold KK preflop (rather than always wrong), it's worth answering the initial question.

I don't think people are folding KK preflop often. It would help if you state the stakes you play, and the sizes of raises and reraises you make, but I think there is a combination of two factors. First, your sample is only 5 hands, and it's really not much of a surprise to be on the wrong side 4 out of 5 times. Second, many people take different lines with KK and AA than just raising without end preflop. Some players will just call a raise or reraise with KK, figuring that almost all of the money will go in anyway against AA, but that taking a flop will get more value out of QQ or AK or garbage. You have a small amount of evidence that people are more likely to slow down preflop with KK than AA.
