Re: I stack off with aces 180 BB\'s deep
[ QUOTE ]
Villain seems to be the kind of player who coldcalls with sc. This is a bad flop for you: it hits villains range often. He can easily have a set, OESD (87 75), two pair or one pair. Villains PotSizedRaise can mean all of those hands. Your hand range is well defined, so if you call it's obvious you have a big pair most of the time; he will fire the turn with his whole range and you will probably have to fold. Folding seems weak. Shoving the flop sucks: he will only call with better hands and if he folds you don't win much. All in all I think you can fold the flop. Deep stack poker; oop; his range is huge whereas your range is well-defined and easily exploitable; RIO; the flop sucks. But it's seems soo weak-tight... [/ QUOTE ] uhmm. How is our range on the flop well-defined? we cbet, ZOMG we must have ACES! |

Re: I stack off with aces 180 BB\'s deep
What's with everyone and "ZOMG He check-raised me on a 964 board he must have the nuts!!!!" ? Do you guys never check raise with less than two pair? And even if the guy had 96, we now beat him on the turn. If all of you immediately equate c/r with set, you will be really easy to overrun. Since when is 964r flop scary for AA? And how is the turn bad? Nits!!
Of course given that hero posted this hand, I assume villain had like 87s ? |

I really don't hate a flop fold tbh. [/ QUOTE ] So what are you looking for with AA? This is such a good spot! Would've villain put us on some random crap that we're raising with like AK, AQ and c/r here with the 9? Do you surrender with AA to any resistance on a board w/o an A on it? |

He is going to have a set, sometimes a straight draw, and very occasionally complete air like 33 or something. I would call if there was a flush draw out, but given the dryness of the board he has us beat too often to continue most of the time imo. Especially given OPs read says he has not been out of line and this is a multiway pot - people are much more likely to play straightforwards in multiway pots. [ QUOTE ] Do you surrender with AA to any resistance on a board w/o an A on it? [/ QUOTE ] Headreading please, and don't exaggerate, it's really unhelpful. |

Re: I stack off with aces 180 BB\'s deep
This is not a multiway pot. Flop fold would be a lot more solid if villain raised into 2 people, but the other cold caller already folded to OP's lead.
