A had him on AJ from the preflop comment and the way he was acting on the turn, but I do like the idea of showing the 9.

I've done this exact same thing before. I was drunk and messing around at 1/2, I bet the river with something like pair of aces x kicker. guy started to think and I realized he had me outkicked, so I talked to him and showed my A, he folds AQ face up. granted I was pretty drunk and he was someone easy to manipulate. I was lucky it was 1/2 and the players very very simple. would not do again, and don't recommend it at all.
