PokerStars - Change Date of Birth?

Why does PokerStars allow you to change your date of birth? Any ideas? And has anyone ever changed the date of birth on their account? If so, for what reason?

Yes, this is in fact fairly common, especially if one played baseball.

I did that.

If people entered their birthdate incorrectly by accident they could change it and support would not get flooded with requests to change everytime there was a data entry error by the user.

Obviously the underage players put in a fake D.O.B to play, once they're of legal age they probably like to make it legit.
