Default FT response to Sat. night outage

I received the following e-mail this morning from FTP support. Discuss.

Dear [TurdFerguson],

As you may be aware, we suffered a system outage at 11:56PM ET on
Sunday, February 4th that forced us to suspend game play on our site for
several hours. We have now completed our reconciliation process, and we
have made the following adjustments to your account:

If you were sitting at a real money ring game at the time of the
outage, any money you had at the table has been returned to your account.

If you were registered for, or were playing in a tournament that was
voided during this period, your account has been restored in accordance
with our tournament rules, which you can read at:

In addition, and as our way of apologizing for the inconvenience this
outage caused, we will credit your account with an extra $10 within the
next 48 hours.

If you have any questions regarding the status of your account, please
contact us at support@fulltiltpoker.com.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at
the table.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker

It sounds like they are trying to do the right thing.

I noticed that nowhere in the email did they specify the amount credited to my account for the tournament I was entered into. I have emailed them asking for this info.

Apparently the amount credited to your account varies. I suspected that would be the case. I'm getting $5. Presumably this is based on some rational basis - buy-in of tournament(s) you were in, overall play volume, etc.

Yeah, I understand the rules, but I am waiting to hear what the exact number is that I'm due (I was still in the tournament during the crash).
