Re: getting fried food smell out of the kitchen
You guys will think this is gay, but the best thing I have found are the fragrence oils you warm in an aroma pot with a tea light at the bottom, saucer like area at top to dribble a little oil.
White Barn Candle Co (probably next door to Bath and Bodyworks at every mall in the country) has a good selection. Have even seen some at retailers like Walmart/Kmart (usually in the candle secion.) White Barn's Baked Sugar Cookie Oil does a good job of replacing bad cooking odors. Any will work--just find one you like. If that isn't for you try Glade's Plug Ins----either odor neutralizer or a citrus type scent. |

I make my grilled cheese in the toaster, does that make me the laziest man ever? [/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty lazy (I store things in my oven because I so rarely use it) and even I'll throw grilled cheese in the frying pan. So my vote is yes. And yes, grilled cheese must be made with at least 1/4 stick of butter in the pan, plus both sides of the bread completely buttered. |

Re: getting fried food smell out of the kitchen
here is a diy with pics:
gather ingredients (velveeta slices are the best i've had so far) light coat of butter over entire area in the meantime set one of the burners to medium (~5) and place a non-stick frying pan on it to pre-heat...pan is ready when a few drops of water will quickly evaporate off the surface place sandwich in the pan for about 1.5 minutes on the first side and about 1 minute on the second side...done |
