Can't Connect to Stars

I have been unable to connect to Stars so far this evening. It tries for a couple of minutes and then I get the "Unable to establish connection with server" message. My internet is running smoothly, I can chat on AIM, and I can log onto other poker sites.

I tried re-installing Stars and that did not help.

Any Suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. I can surf the web, but when I try to connect to PS, the bar goes across the screen and nothing happens. If I click on the details, it says bad host for all the connections.

I'm on Comcast. What host are you on?

Did you get your issue fixed? I finally found my issue around 9 pm est. My firewall was not allowing connection to PS. I was using the AOL Safety and Security Suite. You can adjust the firewall and allow access once you know this is the problem easily enough.

There is also a problem with the new AOL S & S update that conflicted with Poker Ace/Hud that seemed impossible to navigate. I have had to uninstall the AOL S & S program in order to run HUD. I have windows firewall, but now I am without virus and spyware protection. Any cheap/free suggestions out there?

I had this same problem earlier tonight. I had to delete an AOL firewall, but after I did it was working fine.
