Dennis Kucinich for President
Well, no one will likely post this, so I'll do it. Dennis Kucinich, congressman from Ohio, is seeking the 2008 nomination. He's basically an ideal liberal candidate, and hell he's even a vegan. But he's not exactly a media darling, nor does he raise money terribly well. So it's unlikely that he'll get it.

Re: Dennis Kucinich for President
Well, as long as we're posting about random cult-following congressmen that have no chance in hell of getting elected...

Maybe just from 2004, look at what his effort contributed vs what it cost. Nader seems to run most every time too. Ask Gore what the costs of that might be. |

Didn't he bankrupt Cleveland? [/ QUOTE ] Possibly. I really don't know anything about him. I just saw that he had announced and read a quick rundown of his viewpoints. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, it depends on what you want. From his viewpoint, defaulting was the better option, and, some believe, turned out in the long run to be more beneficial to the public than selling a city-owned utility under tremendous pressure from area businesses. Your interpretation will probably depend on what you think is right, but it is fairly clear that there were shenanigans on the part of business. I don't particularly like Kucinich as a presidential candidate, but in this particular episode, he showed a level of spine not evident in most modern politicians. |

Re: Dennis Kucinich for President
I have no doubt that he means well, but his platform concerning foreign trade is dangerous. Awful candidate. Way, way too far to the left.
