I agree and here is why. The tight players are not folding their solid holdings to this raise. The loose players who decided they are playing and calling the raise. I think this is why it is just not good to get that financially involved with a hand this early. All the overcards are forcing you to slowdown and you don't want to c/c down 500 or more to find out you are second best to someone playing any two suited or any ace that hits an overcard.

At these levels I pretty much play JJ and down for set value until level 3 or possibly 4 depending on the table. This is directly from a post on beating the $10 SNGs and works quite well.

i disagree. TT is a strong hand, but you prefer 1 opponent over 3.

To be fair, an $80 raise pf early in a tournament should not be committing you financially. 10 10 is a strong hand, it plays well HU as long as you don't overplay it. On top of that we have position, and if we hit the set it's a lot easier to build a big pot if it's raised preflop than a limped pot. If you want, you can think of it as raising for set value and value betting at the same time.

I think this hand was played absolutely fine.
