(edited this because of mlagoo's insightful(sp?) post). My initial reaction was bad and not many players are limping better pairs here. Tecnically, I might be able to fold out a weak ace (that's about it).

I think your thought process is reasonable, but you just can't be sure enough. He might be betting a lot cause he's scared of 78 or because he has 56 and assumes an A never folds.

You're putting in 2.2k to win 750. No way he folds enough to make it worth it.

You could consider calling, but I think he usually fires three barrels here, so again, you're putting in 2180 to win 750.

so basically the premise of this whole play is that he decided not to raise 99+ on the button, and then when an ace flopped, decided to overbet the pot in order to do what?, and after overbetting will fold.

Honestly, I think the play sucks, but for some reason I found my self pulling the trigger. I am definitely c/r'ing here, I just got carried away (the whole feeling trappy thing went to my head).

Anyhow, maybe a weak ace folds here.

I really can't defend this play.
