Default flopped two pair 10nl

i just played a hand and im sorry i cant convert it so im just gonna tell the details.

i have about $15 and the villain has me covered.
im dealt 93o in the big blind the button calls sb(villain) completes.
flop come 5d 9d 3c villain bets .1 i raise to .4
button folds, villain raises to .7 and i make it 2.8.
he pushes then i fold.
is this standard or should have just called his last bet? i really wanted to define his hand. he had played kinda passive postflop for just under 40 hands.

again sorry i couldnt convert it. computer problems.

pretty bad fold with all the draws out there. you lose to 33/55/99/95, and there are barely any combinations left in the deck of any of them except 55.

This deep folding is probably ok against an unknown, although aggressive players will do this with flush draws so you really should try to have a read on villain.

This is a good point, I hadn't really considered what our holding one of the nines and threes does to the combinatorics in this situation. I'm thinking villain is probably most likely on a draw or overpair so it's probably a call.

Edit: If "combinatorics" is not really a word then blame Run Down House, I stole it from one of his responses.

from my experience when someone min bets and then makes a crazy 3bet after getting raised its almost always a monster.

Was your 3 a diamond? A passive player might play Ad3d that way. Again though, there are very few sets he could have versus quite a lot of diamond draws he would've limped with.

Also, tl;dr means "too long;didn't read." Our friend ryang thinks he is in BBV instead of a strategy forum.
