top level execs don't bail on downsizing moves, but like rats they do jump ship when it is sinking.

CC, If Neteller reduced their staff by 60%+ and that didn't include a similar reduction in high level staff, I would be more concerned about what was going on... this is Business Restructuring 101

Well said!

Neteller not only hold US customer money in trust, but they have a fairly substantial pile of their own money, and are still generating revenue from business everywhere but the US.

Once the DOJ get all the info they are after the neteller execs will be released without charge...

...and eventually you will all get your withdrawals processed :-)

Im sorry I haven't given an update. The bank made good on giving me access to the funds -- I used them to play live 30/60. However, my online banking has not updated the 5000 transfer. I will call tomorrow to find out the details as to why my ach hasnt hit/updated online. So, more info to follow soon.

I have been following all this - but I haven't seen anything on a question I have.

Neteller supposedly/hopefully has money in a trust so it's safe. And we know US banks won't deal with them, so we can't get withdrawals.

Why can't they allow US customers to deposit back into poker sites that are accepting US customers? We are getting checks that are clearing from many of the sites, we could just withdraw that way.

Because this would increase the risk that their founders would be charged and imprisoned.

The reason you can't get your money from neteller is because no 3rd party processor will touch them.

neteller -----> 3rd party processor ------> your bank

In order for neteller to allow you to redeposit back to a poker site:

neteller -----> 3rd party processor ------> poker site

Without a 3rd party processor, this cannot happen. Also, neteller is sitting on the money playing CYA, waiting for the DOJ to make a decision. If they allowed the money to get out, and then the DOJ demands it from them, where are they going to get it (or the fines)?

Two reasons:
1. Interest on 200 million dollars.
2. Leverage against the DOJ.

And leverage is everything here. They have to win or work a deal favorible to their business interests. And US poker players are a BIG part of their business interests. They have to protect the US player or their finished. Good news, Bad news.
