Default is buying a nicaraguan island stupid?

i really want to buy this island. anyone know anything about islands/nicaragua, or a good source to read about it?

honestly if i had 530k in assets, id sell them all, buy this island, move there and hunt fish and birds for the rest of my life.

i mean id probably get raided by pirates or something but im sure i could fend them off?

I've always wanted to buy an island. That one looks like a great deal to me, I always thought they started off in the 2 mill+ range for some reason.

I would be interested to know if there are any real downfalls to owning an island. I can't really think of any that would be dealbreakers. Pirates? Storms?
