I voted Yea. I trust the government, why would they try to get into power if not to help people like me?

I voted yea because for some reason I thought I could be cool and do so only to realize several posters beat me to it.

Haven't voted yet, because I have yet to dutifully research the subject. However, I am sure this will be a nail-biter given the demographics of this forum.

I voted yea because if you don't want a camera in every room in your house that the government can look into, then you must have something to hide.

I voted nay, because I didn't have a cool facetious response like the others. It might be cool though, to someday have a little micro-chip in your arm, so Uncle Sam can help keep you in line when you get the urge to let your hair down and go to a strip bar and have a few too many.

Then we'd know (or would we) how much time someone running for public office spent in bars, redlight districts, etc., and wouldn't be fooled into voting for someone we wish we hadn't.

I still can't believe that 'they' would actually name something 'The U.S.A. Patriot Act'. I'd vote against it just based on the name. So, ney from me.
