Default The future looks great

For those not in the know here are some great games coming out in the next few weeks for PS3 and 360 (I didn't list the Wii since I don't own it).

PS3
Assassins Creed
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Need for Speed ProStreet
Rock Band
TimeShift
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Oblivion: Shivering Isles expansion
Haze
The Golden Compass

360
Assassins Creed
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
BlackSite: Area 51
Need for Speed ProStreet
Mass Effect
Rock Band
Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess
The Golden Compass

For the first time since I've owned both systems I'm excited for some games. For me, my for sure buying purchases are going to be as follows:

PS3
Assassins Creed
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Oblivion: Shivering Isles expansion
Haze

360
Mass Effect
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
Maybe COD4, but I'm not sold since I'm playing so much Halo.
Maybe pick up FF XI, but I'll need to find out more before I get sucked into that one.

IMO both systems are going to have a killer holiday season. Some of these titles look absolutely amazing and the big cross platform games are looking good on both systems. This is what I've been waiting for.

I agree, looks good. Let's see how long it takes Dire to get in here and start bashing the PS3 releases.

I hope he does because I think there are some great games coming out for the Wii too, I just don't know (/care) because I don't own one. But yeah, these games look so sick for both systems. I am so excited for x-mas.

I just looked at Timeshift and the multiplayer could be VERY unique. Time bombs where there are areas that slow or stop time. Throw it in front of bullets to stop them and move out of the way, or stop an enemy shoot a clip into them and move on. Looks pretty sweet.

I've played the demo for the PS3 of Timeshift. It was pretty cool. I really like the concept and the execution was pretty good too. My biggest knock on it may be the graphics. They weren't as good as I thought they could be. Then again it was only a demo and things could have changed for the release. Graphics aren't everything, especially when you more than make up with killer game play (which the time bending is). I'm really sure I'll rent this one soon.

Haha funny I thought the exact same thing

But yea, it's a great time to be a gamer, I'm actually happy GTA 4 isn't coming out for a while because if it dropped this holiday season my head might explode.
