Re: Are you F#%^&ng kidding me!!!!!!! Super Beat for some dude.
It is extremely unlikely that the government will make him pay taxes on it if he decides to keep and not sell it.

[ QUOTE ] seeing that hes gonna sell it anyway its not that bad... then again your country is fking sick in the head. [/ QUOTE ] Please, continue. What's the matter? Oh, you were finished? Well, allow me to retort. Why does it seem that people just want to bitch & moan about the USA. Or, say stupid sh*t quoted above? The reality is that people can't catch a boat\swim fast enough to get here. When was the last time you saw us point our finger at another country and joked about them all being retarded? *Crickets Chirping* We understand, it's okay. These feeling of inadequacies will pass. You can run with the big dogs, or stay on the porch and yap. [/ QUOTE ] you serious? all the time... |

Re: Are you F#%^&ng kidding me!!!!!!! Super Beat for some dude.
Mcfarlen was on a local TV broadcast last night saying the ball is not worth that much (he said about 400-600k) because it's not the record ball, just the one that broke the previous record. He said Bonds last home run ball when he retires will be a 4+ million dollar ball, and that's the one he wants.

Re: Are you F#%^&ng kidding me!!!!!!! Super Beat for some dude.
This isn't even the worst of it. During the 1998 McGwire chase, some [censored] in the IRS wanted to tax the ball; EVEN IF THE PERSON WHO CAUGHT IT RETURNED THE BALL TO THE PLAYER:
"As Mark McGwire chased the mark for most home runs in a season in 1998, IRS officials initially said the ball that broke Roger Maris' long-standing record could be subject to taxes even if it were returned to McGwire. The statements were ridiculed by politicians and quickly disavowed by the agency's top brass. "All I know is that the fan who gives back the home run ball deserves a round of applause, not a big tax bill," then-IRS Commissioner Charles Rossotti said at the time.
