Gears of War - Need Help

I'm stuck in act 4 when you have to get to the APC. I can't get to it in time. If I shoot Locusts I run outta time, if I just run I get killed. What am I missinG?

It's been a while, but I think I snuck out along the left hand side. Killed the boomers and then just made a run for it.

I seriously tried that part like 30 times on hardcore and I'm just not adept enough with console controllers, I had to switch it down to casual for that scene.

Basically I just kept sniper rifle out, ran out to the ledge and sniped the 2 boomers with headshots. By the time they are dead the 30 second clock should appear, and I just did the crouch run (A + run) or whatever and made it to the APC.


Honestly that part was insanely hard, I played the rest of the game on hardcore setting and it was relatively easy.

You pretty much just run right out of the gate. If you're quick, kill the boomers to lessen the chance of you dying, but i usually just run past them.

You should use the torque bow. It's available from the previous mission by any of the Theron guards.

Run out the door & down the stairs and shoot the right boomer. Then dodge & shoot the left. Run to where they were and wait for the next set of boomers (may only be one depending on the difficulty). Shoot only one of them to clear one of the sides and make a run for it. I usually go down the left after reaching the spot where the initial two boomers were placed.

ignore the lesser locusts. if you're always running when you're not shooting, you should have time to spare.

I was actually able to just run from the start and not get hit. I did it on the first try on each of the three dificulties, guess I'm lucky.

Try waiting 'til the boomers fire and miss once before you make a break for it. They take ridiculously long to reload, like around 3-5 secs I believe.

And oh yeah, I took the left hand route myself just like fiskebent.

There's just a little thing you shoot near where the cars connect, If I remember correctly.

You can just blow up the gas tank with a grenade on the second to last car which is the way I always did it. You can also get him on the back car and hit a switch or something I believe.
