Re: How many Buyins is your HU SNG bankroll?
[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone increase the number of buyins for every level they move up? Not a huge jump but at least a few buyins to pad the expected skill increase. Or is this type of thing already considered in the math? [/ QUOTE ] There are 2 reasons why people with very aggressive bankroll-strategies have higher buy-in requirements the higher they play: 1) On higher levels the money starts becoming more important to them, and they realize they would play scared with few buy-ins. 2) The higher they play, the lower their winrate is and the more buy-ins are recommended by the Kelly criterion. [ QUOTE ] whatever you say, 10 buyins isnt good, u will go busto someday [/ QUOTE ] If you play with the number of buy-ins the Kelly criterion tells you to, you won´t go busto even if Kelly recommends 7 buy-ins at some stages. If you take money out of the bankroll, then you get a risk of ruin when using the Kelly criterion. |

Re: How many Buyins is your HU SNG bankroll?
Im currently playing the 55s with some 110s and 220s. I handle the bankroll subject a little more fluidly, I have ~ 5k online and would have no problem still playing the 220s when a fish sits when I'd drop down to 2.5k. I even don't mind playing a 550 as long as a known big fish sits with more than 10% of my roll at the table, I'm just not doing it regularly.
