Default Your poker bankroll story

Just wanted to here some good bankroll stories either inspiring or frightening. Example started with 25.00 and made it into 10000. Or maybe made it to 10000 and lost it all in one night in a drunken tilt fest.

I will start with mine even though mine is not that exciting. I have been playing poker for a year and a half and started with 200 and I am currently at 3200 mainly from live poker.I am going to get back into online play right away as my summer holidays will soon be over and I will be back at school teaching. not very convenient be going to the casino during the week and teaching the next morning.

BBV is probably the place for this. A mod might move it.

I made a long post a few months ago when I reached $10K, you can read it here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=0#Post10038653

To sum up: I started with $.90 in April '06 that a small site gave me for free (not much of a bankroll I know), and I start playing Limit on the lowest level there was there, $.05/$.10. Fortunately for me, 9BBs was enough to go ROBUSTO. I worked my way up, always always practicing proper bankroll management once I got to the point of having a real bankroll (300BBs, there $30). I was already a 2+2 member and had read a few poker books and was completely serious about the game. I was a sponge for information.

Eventually I worked up to about $500, mostly playing Limit (NL scared me a bit, because I was afraid I'd tilt my money away), and some SnGs here and there for variety. I decided to play a $25 donkament (didn't know at the time that $500 wasn't a bankroll for that) just to see how I did, and came in second for $1000. I still remember that day when I tripled my bankroll, it was on July 3rd ('06).

I decided to withdraw $500 to buy my Dell 2007FP (1600x1200 resolution for 4-tabling), which I am in love with, and then decided that I was going to try playing NL cash games, because that's where I had heard all the money was. I grinded it out for months and eventually built my bankroll up to $5000. However, after I had moved to FTP because of the UIGEA, I felt I had hit a wall. The UIGEA made games a lot tougher, and it turned me into a breakeven-small winner at $.50/$1 NL.

I took two months off (December '06 to February '07) because I didn't feel like I could really win anymore, then decided to move down to $.05/$.10 NL to re-evaluate my game. I also joined Cardrunners, because Brian Townsend said that that site was invaluable to his success, and he's basically my biggest poker idol.

Well, moving down to re-evaluate my game and joining Cardrunners was a recipe for success for me. I've built my bankroll up to over $35,000 and am now playing mostly 2/4 and 3/6 NL. Not bad considering I started with $.90, eh?

I'd also like to hear what value cardrunners has. I posted something about it a month ago, but didn't hear many pos. responses. I also said that I play mostly in B&M and perhaps that was part of the reason

I have a bit of a summary here; basically I started with a free $5 and over the last 2 1/2 years ran it to about $65,000 or so; I lost my records off my hard drive a few months ago and stopped counting. I started at 10c/20c limit and now play NL400.
