I cbet 4 on the flop and call a button shove.

With UTG behind you, this kinda sucks... Against Button alone, I instacall here, but I think this should be a fold now that UTG is in...

This is such a bad flop to cbet multiway. Definate fold.

I might have led flop here.

As played I'd probably shove to try to isolate against the button.

Wouldn't it be better to just call on flop? Atleast that way you know your beat if UTG raises all in, and he's mucking everything but a decent hand, from the bet, that you dont want to see him call your all in raise with; so it will be an isolated pot so long as he doesn't have a good hand which he's callig your all in with- so mind as well just call, less risky and I would guess more proffitable? hope that makes sense

Seems like a simple math problem. Put him on a range of hands which seems likely. Maybe Air 10%, Pair 50%, Draw 30%, Better than a pair 10%. Then calculate the odds you need to call vs. every hand combination.

Obviously you can't do this at the table but if you take these kinds of hands and evaluate them after the game (which you are ) then these situations will be easier to play in the future against similar opponents.

i indeed just called, UTG folded and button shows total air 5Jo and i win with Ace high
i wasnt sure i made the right move but my quastion is just calling +Ev?

here is why i called:
i saw this guy was bluffing alot, and calling raises with very weak hands, so i thought my draw (2 overs and second nuts) might be good. and because its a close decision mathimaticly i called. if he had more i will had folded.
