checking is horrible here.

You really think "horrible"? I admit it might be giving up some EV but I dont see that it'd be much if any.

Can you explain how preflop is +EV? It may very well be, but I can't see why initially.

[/ QUOTE ]
it was probably played by one of the players mdma coaches who thinks they can outplay everyone postflop with position with any 2 (not saying mdma advises this, i doubt it in fact). i'd be very surprised if this hand was played by md.

and btw i agree with u wpr, like i said in my other post. i dont like this call pf

Ok, thanks for the input everyone, I had a discussion with a very good player regarding this hand, and I was saying I couldn't imagine not betting here (I never even considered checking really), whereas he was not so convinced and we were both curious as to what the consensus was here.

And yeah, I didn't play this hand myself (surprise!), and neither would I have suggested any of my students to call with T2s preflop no

bet and fold to a c/r

[/ QUOTE ]

If this is so obviously the "right" move, doesn't that make it "wrong" ?

well "giving up EV" is inherently horrible.
