Re: 15/30 BB minimum hands?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I NEVER win in these spots w/ the small suited connectors. I mean they should win once in a while shouldn't they? Not for me they don't. [/ QUOTE ] They never will if you'll continue trying to make a hand instead of trying to win a pot. [/ QUOTE ] You mean the secret to poker is actually playing poker? [/ QUOTE ] Neah...that would be too easy. |

Re: 15/30 BB minimum hands?
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe you should play in casinos where they don't stack the deck every hand and the flop can have a good texture to bluff on. [/ QUOTE ] Ok, so I got ticked-off and posted that silly reply that I wish I hadn't. Meanwhile: OP was asking what hands to defend w/ in the BB and mentioned suited connectors and I tossed in my moan because in the games that I play in it seems that every time I call an EP raiser that gets a few callers w/ those low suited connectors in the BB I never flop anything and there's no way in the world anyone is going to win those pots w/o making a hand. Now of course sometimes I do win those pots but they are so few and far between that I wonder if calling is correct. Maybe I just run bad w/ them. In the instant case OP was asking about a MP raiser and a TAG caller. So if the board comes 9-7-2r and we decide to c/r w/ our 5-4s because, after all, all raisers have AK and they're going to fold or fold to our turn c/bet because they know we are UBER-MAN and they better not mess w/ us this is going to work often enough to be good? I must have a limp noodle for a magic wand because when I try this stuff it don't work so good. |
