once you reraise I don't think you can fold, but I'm not sure I'd reraise
raise more preflop, bet more on the flop |

Re: 50nl AQ all in on flop?
I find it highly unlikely that hero was a favorite when all the $ went in on the flop.
Hero may have won if villain had a big combo draw, but no way hero was the favorite to win when he committed his whole stack on the flop. I think the whole line is spewy right from the raise preflop. I like to check AQ/AJ here and play for TP in a small pot, if I can. If I raise here, which I do on occaision, then I raise a lot to rep AA in hopes of either taking it down preflop, or setting up a convincing cb on most flops. Raise to $5, for example. You really don't want any callers. Certainly don't raise to a smallish amount like $2, then go nuts on a board that already could give J9 a straight. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not necessarily. You can call flop to re-eval, or call and jam a safe turn if you think draws make up a large part of his range, or call and CRAI on turn. |

[/ QUOTE ] I would usually just call the flop raise then lead out a safe turn (for ~1/2 pot). I would fold to further aggression by villain. This way you make draw pay at least on the turn and you aren't giving away all your chips to a set or straight. |

Re: 50nl AQ all in on flop?
villain showed down a monster draw hand 8d9d so I took it down, but this is just the same kind of hand where I don't want to be too nitty and fold but villain is showing a lot of aggression. A lot of times people have said to 3bet in this kind of situation, why would we not 3bet here? Is it just too drawy of a board?

why would we not 3bet here? [/ QUOTE ] Cause any hand that raises you here is better than yours. |

Not to be results oriented but this hand is evidence that monster draws are pushed sometimes. I still stick to the line I put in my post above but definitely make a note that this player will push draws hard. And also watch for how they play big made hands like sets. |
