Default 99 in strange, tough spot.. plz advise

Not much of a read, but villain is a seemingly solid reg. He probably thinks the same of me.

Party Poker, $2/$4 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

CO: $321.50
BTN: $431.15
SB: $111.40
BB: $404
Hero (UTG): $572.10

Pre-Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $14, 3 folds, BB calls $10

Flop: ($30) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $22, BB raises to $72, Hero calls $50

Turn: ($174) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $130, Hero ???

Thats a good turncard for you. When you call the flop I think your plan should be to get it in on a turn like this. If I dont know the opponent at all I usually fold the flop the first time. Its not a good flop for him to checkraisebluff and he mostly has a big flushdraw here.

The problem is that if he has a bluff or semibluff he will almost always fire the turn and you only burn money on the flop if you are folding here.

All this asuming he is a regular though.

Why are we calling the flop raise then... hoping to check it down?

cant really put him on a 4. TBH your assessment seems wrong? maybe unless he has 55 or 44, cuz what solid reg could take this line? I duno either way i dont fold 99 on this board to the action. I dont really care how you get it in at this point but dont fold. FWIW 76s makes sense so shove turn

1hand he would have played like this is 7-6h but other than that it looks like a fold

Edit: Im not calling flop to fold to safe turn

Whats idea with the flop call?Just seeing if we can slow him down?

preflop stats would be really helpful here...fold turn though usually. a lot of players just don't ever flat unpaired cards from a UTG raise like that in the BB.
