any of you guys think you sweat more than avg? i always absolutely drench my shirt when I work out, especially when I do cardio. I used to think it was because i'm fat and out of shape, but i'm in better shape now but still sweat like a hog. what's up with that? (I sweat less when not working than i did before I started working out though)

I sweat a ton too. I think it's mostly genetics but I haven't read into it much.

Me too. It's bad enough to the point where next checkup I'm going to make sure they check to make sure my thyroid is working properly.
Halo Headbands are pretty much the only reason why it's possible for me to get through one of my kickboxing classes. |

you recommend those? whenever i go running or box, after about 15min my eyes are sore from salty sweat; maybe they can help me.

Korch, Halo headbands are kind of brilliant because they're made from moisture-wicking material, and there's a rubber-type material placed above your eyebrows so sweat doesn't go down into your eyes. Most of the sweat ends up being channeled to the back of your head where the ends are tied.
I highly recommend them. I was really bummed out when I lost my first one, so I bought two replacements. |

I'm a relatively avid runner and I lose 10-12 lbs easily on my long runs (13-16mi) in the summer, with weather typically still only in the high 70s in San Diego. I swear more than anyone I've ever known.

One huge disadvantage I've noticed when I'm doing high-intensity cardio work is that I end up having to drink way more fluids to stay hydrated, almost to the point where I feel sick from drinking so much. I'll go through 40+ oz. of water in an hour easily.

When I'm in my best shape, I start sweating much earlier than usual, like almost immediately. Unfortunately that carries over into my regular activities during the day, drenching me and turning my pants into a sweat sponge. When I'm in less good shape, it takes a lot longer for me to break a sweat, and in general I sweat less. I think my body just gets primed for efficiency in cooling me off when I get in really good shape. Unfortunately, it's not something I can turn on an off at will, and it doesn't work so well for me on a hot day at work.
