Default Isle of Capri (LC) meetup 7/27 weekend? it\'s non-smoking now!

I just called the Isle of Capri Lake Charles poker room and they said they went non-smoking as of January. Yay! Anyone for a meetup this weekend? Give me a shoutout... I'll be the donk wearing a long sleeved black shirt Friday night. Probably get there around 8:30ish.

Can't wait for Sugarcane Bay so they can put that piece of [censored] casino out of business for good.

I'm a regular at the Isle, I'll definitely be there.

am I the only one that really hates the poker room? I feel coushata is just cleaner and nicer. However from Houston, it is an additional +45min.

You guys ever make it up to Shreveport? I play at the Shoe there about 2x per month. If you practice good table selection, you can usually find a great game there.

not worth driving extra 45 mins. isle is better action. coushatta room is "nicer" .. but who cares... you there to play poker.

also... was told about a bar called "Darrell's" last time and went there to eat the "darrell special".. get directions and go eat this sandwich... awesome. is about a 5 -10 min drive from the isle.

I was at LC a month ago or so after spending the weekend at Coushatta.

Yeah, the room is nicer at Kinder in terms of looks and feel. But it seems to be busier at Lake Charles. And the games play about the same.

I hear that sometimes Coushatta has some big tournaments. Like when Ngyuen was there, it was action action action. But other than such special events it isn't really that much better to spend an extra 45 minutes on the road.

We went just to take a break and to see the Coushatta room since we had not been there for over a year.

I think there are buses from Austin to Coushatta, but not from Austin to Lake Charles.

I live in Lake Charles, unfortunately. Darrell's is meh, but their Darrell's special has a sauce made from mayo and jalapenos. It's outstanding in terms of club sandwiches, and it's the only reason to really head that way.

I went and played the 1/2NL last night... was rather nitty until later in the evening (in part because of the lame $100 buy in) but i had only played 5/5 there before and wanted to check it out.

Ill be there saturday all day... most likely on the 5/5 tables.
