How tall are you/how much do you weigh? What exactly were you doing wrong?

I'm 5' 10" ~220 lbs...a lot of muscle to go with my fat. I hit the thing pretty well. The base was full of water and I almost knocked it over, but I looked like a dork and didn't feel at all like I was getting everything into it. I was way off balance and if the dude was real and ducked the punch, it would be lights out for me. I tried to get my whole body into it, but felt so stiff and awkward. I tried a jab, an overhand, and a roundhouse....all dumb. As I said though, I did rock him fairly well.
