Once this year I went out of town and didn't have access to a computer.

It was a real bad PokerStars withdrawal experience, but it went away when I got home and started playing again.

Only problem is that stars is rigged so unless you come up with a good counterstrategy to that you won't be cashing out anyway.

I trust PokerStars more than I trust my bank.

Sometimes the checks take a little long (14 days was my longest).

However, if he hasn't been playing online yet, it's *highly* likely he doesn't have to think about the problems that are associated with doing well at the game (such as receiving monies). Deposit option works fine: GOGOGOGO.

Edit: checks 2-5K, unsure about lower ones.

Just got a check for the first time today. Exactly 7 days after I put in the request. It was for $600 if that makes a difference to you.

Super easy, no hassles, no problems.

However... FTP Rakeback is > Pokerstars FPP for my needs so sadly I continue to play on FTP.

I cashout about once a month for 300-1000. Their checks are processed on Tuesdays so I just cashout Monday night. My last 10 or so cashouts have ALL arrived Saturday morning.

My experience mimics his. Stars has consistently had a regular airmail delivery window of two to five days. I've sometimes mistaken Stars checks for those of another site because the Stars cashouts are so fast.

If a player has misgivings about the service and security level offered at Stars then he/she is not a good candidate for online play.
