Default Was Jesus plagiarized from the Egyptian god Horus?

Jesus and the Egyptian god Horus share exact same qualities and characteristics. Here are a few:

Mothers Meri and Mary
Fathers Joseph
Three wise men (astrologers) and three solar dieties came to the birth
The kings at the time tried to kill the baby
Same break in data of life history between the ages of 12 and 30
Both were baptised in a river at the age of 30
Both of their baptisers were beheaded
Both were crucified with two thieves
and much more you can find here in the yellow box:

So, why do some people believe in Jesus but not Horus?

God arranged for the (false) legends of Horus to come about as a test of faith, obvi.

That's the key question; not the similarities. What you must ask yourself is: what is so different about christianity that it would catch on like it did?

Betamax vs VHS and/or

Marketing conditions of the day

There are many issues that determine winners that are not related to the intrinsic quality of the product or the veracity of the claims.

Muhammed has a billion followers. What you must ask yourself is: what is so different about Muhammed that his teaching would supplant Jesus in the eyes of a billion people?

Praise Jesus for Islam. It cuts through so many of your [censored] arguments so effectively.

Im not sure how long Horus was worshipped for, but the concept of him was thousands of years before Christ was ever heard of I believe.

I really want a Christian to come into this thread, look at the evidence, and give a logical explanation why they still believe in Christianity..
