Default Re: Wireless connectivity problem - Give me some hints

So let's see if we have the facts straight:

- After approximately 15 page loads, you can no longer surf the web
- During said outage, you can ping any sites just fine.
- Putting that same IP address in the IE address bar yields no page
- Other connectivity is just fine, i.e. email, IM, etc.

If I have the facts straight, this is not a hardware or driver problem. This is an Internet Explorer problem. The most likely cause is a plugin that is hanging. Possibly an anti-virus program that stops working. Have you installed any IE add-ons lately?

Actually that isn't quite correct. I can still connect to Microsoft internet games. That is the only outside app I have tried. Neither Firefox or IE work. I did upgrade to a new version of Firefox recently.

I use a Belkin router, but at the same time I have outages on one computer, mine works just fine using the same signal.

I have to tell everyone that I really appreciate the ideas and help you have given me, even if I haven't yet solved anything. It also makes me feel a little better that other people are as mystified as I am.

Any luck uninstalling RealSecure? Something else you might try: connect the laptop to the router directly with a cable and see if the outages still occur.
