Default NL5 89s bluff turn

What do you think of the turn, spew?

Villain 46/4/.5 45 hands/ flop AF 2.5

only tell was he would call pre flop raises with mediocre hands OOP

Hmm, this hand must be pretty lame, well I'm still curious as to what line others would take here. The donk bet is a decent size, I really don't like a flop raise, do you? The turn bet is so weak, plus it's so easy to rep the K I just couldn't resist. Thoughts?

I would raise the flop because you have an OESD plus middle pair so against all 1 pair hands you have max 13 outs + fold equity so raising and calling a shove is ok.

I play at nl10 so don't take my advice though.

I raise the flop, we only have on more street. I think this guy will look you up pretty often here.

I'll be the first to say i like this line.

flop call is fine given our hand and we probably don't fold better than us. the turn bet is a clear sign he wants to get to showdown cheap, although i think this works better if you raise just a bit more. 1.50 is less than pot sized and gets the job done.

disclamer: i dont play nl5 so people may be way to cally to fold Tx here, if not just make the easy call with good odds.

FWIW I don't generally try stuff like this at this level, probably a little too FPS, I really try to keep it ABC.

But this seemed like a good spot to try it for a couple of reasons, Villain didn't show any strong signs of being a super CS post flop, and opponents at this level often call a modest flop bet (whether they are donked into or are calling a cbet) with overcards such as AK, KQ, ect.. so there's no reason for Villain to completely discount the fact that I may in fact hold a K. Probably should have raised more though.

Turns out he had K10, ha, I really believe this may have worked otherwise.
