Default moving from 6 max to 10

I have recently moved down from 0.10/0.25 stakes at 6 max tables on party poker to 0.05/0.10 full ring games. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how i should change my game preflop i.e where i should just be calling and in what position i should be betting with what range of cards. I know it all depends on what kind of table i am playing at but any help would be good. At 6 max i found tht it was easier to play a looser game as there are less players so hands became stronger but im not sure about full 10 player games. The players so far seem to be very passive and like to just call PF bets with big pocket pairs. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've been playing a little FR lately, and it's basically the same game as 6-max once you get past the first 3-4 seats. The biggest difference IMO is that PF isn't nearly as aggressive ...and AK isn't the nuts anymore. 3-bets and 4-bets usually mean the goods, so just keep that in mind.

Also, the only time I'm ever limping is w/ pairs < 66 when I'm in the first 3-4 seats. After that, I treat it exactly like 6-max. I also found stealing to be insanely profitable as most full ringers are complete nits and don't hardly ever defend. So far over 5k hands, I'm running like 17/14...and it's been working out pretty well.

If you need more advice, check out the FR forum. Just be warned...most of them are really nitty.

Yeah...I forgot to add that. FR is MIND-NUMBINGLY boring. If I can't get 10-12 tables, I don't even play at all.

yah IIRC from way way back when i played full ring (i came from a live background so 6max seemed weird to me) people would lay down to you in the blinds or OOP by the turn if they had one pair or less.

i cannot recall more than a dozen times that a standardish/competent/regular type would call more than one street on a dry board with one pair. double barreling was ISANELY profitable as nobody balanced and checked big hands. if they c/c a dry flop and check again it was pretty much to c/f.

edit: but yeah 6max is still way better.

Ye thanks tht helps. What about suited connectors and suited aces. When your in the first 4 seats, would u perhaps fold a weak suited ace? Do you think that tight is right in when playing these and the occasional steal?

Hi, I am new to SSNL, having come from SNGs and FR. Firstly just wanted to say hi to forum and thanks for all the info on here, guys.

Anyway, I went from SNGs to FR to 6max and I will probably never go back the FR unless it is a live game, where you kinda have to.

Anyway, what they said. Treat MP as being UTG in 6max and be a total nit in EP. Also add tables cuz you are going to get bored playing the same # of tables as you were @ 6max.

Also NL10 and lower FR is best played at least 8-tabling and basically nut peddling and value betting big made hands all the way down. Run tight and hyper aggro with your made hands and you will be fine. If the table is limpy, limp your speculative hands and bet bet bet the big made hands.

I played full ring for over a year. To be honest, I was looser at full ring than 6 max because the players tend to be so predictable and passive.

Just know your players. Know who the nit/nutpeddlers are, the calling stations and the guys that fold too easily. You will need to bluff more, and be more selective about value betting. Raising the turn with a missed draw for example is a great play in FR that isn't that hot in 6 max.

The reason I switched was that the bigger games are all 6 max.

Definitely definitely definitely fold these in EP. You have nowhere near the implied odds.
