no more mods in OOT

nothing against grandmastabone, but we have a lot of active mods in OOT, and we really don't need anybody else.

While he does well with the Lost threads, I would have serious objections to him becoming a mod.

Where is this being suggested?

I have asked Mat about helping to moderate OOT. Currently, yourself, NT! and samjjones are the most active mods. Mat told me to contact you guys to see whether an additional mod would have a place.

As to whether there is, the argument I made in my request was that out of seven ‘green’ mods listed, only three are consistently active (listed above). More importantly, mod availability is virtually always low in the late night/early morning hours – these are the hours when I am most active (1am-7am). Frequently mod action is needed during these hours and will go unnoticed until 8am-12pm. I think all of you guys do an awesome job in OOT, my argument is simply that an additional mod virtually always available during these hours would be a worthwhile addition.

So I guess the question now becomes whether or not I myself would be a good fit for this. This is really a judgment call for you to make. I will say that:

- I feel I am a solid contributor to OOT.

-I feel I ‘get’ what belongs, what doesn’t belong and what the overall feel of the forum is/should be.

- My request is not driven by ego, this won’t be a case of “OMG I’m a mod now things are going to change!” I think OOT is run very well and would simply help out with the work you guys already do, primarily in the hours where it is most needed.

- I feel I would have the support of the forum.

Simply put, I spend a lot of time on the board, I am in a position to help and would love to be able to.

TheDude, and Daryn are also active. There is usually somebody around from 1am-7am, even though there are few posts so modding isn't necessary.

so basically he just cut and pasted wrong i guess. anyway i told him that the only way i would be in favor of him becoming a mod would be if green were removed.. which is basically dynasty right? what's up with that by the way?

he PM'd me too i haven't gotten back to him. honestly i think he's a pretty good poster which is a great reason not to make him a mod.
