Default muscle tightness, massage, etc.

My shoulders and neck are almost always tight. When I do yoga I find it very, very hard to relax them when poses call for it.

I got a deep tissue massage today and felt great and loose for 3 or 4 hours but then tightened up even worse than before. WTF? Also, what can I do to loosen up in general? I stretch/yoga every other day but that is definitely not helping.

I doubt this is an injury, there has been no trauma. And the tightness has only been going on for a few weeks now. I function totally normally, its just a little annoying. I think this is just "how I carry stress"

1) Get a foam roller.
2) Read T-nation article about exactly how to use it
3) Profit (and by that I mean feel better).

This was only my second massage. The first time I had one was after 3 days of kayaking, and it did wonders. This one, not so much. Do you guys think (the right) massage will help loosen up? How hard is it to find the right massage?
