10/20 Borg. hand on Fri.
I played 10/20 at the Borgata on a whim last Fri night and this hand came up.
Table is full of loose passives. Im striking fear into the heart's of these mortals with my Godlike poker skills..(ie thier respecting my raises). Villian in hand is lag preflop, but gets pretty passive post. He shown down such gems as K7o and 87o all of which he brought in for PF raises. He likes to get to a SD. 1 limp in ep, rest fold to villian who raises. Im OTB w/ QT of [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]'s. I 3-bet. Blinds fold, the rest call. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players) 2 players check, I bet, ep folds, Villian calls. Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villian checks, I bet, Villian calls. River 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villian checks, Hero checks. How did I do?

I don't think preflop is as bad as you guys do. QTs is decent against his range, we have position, and he plays poorly postflop. Q high also has some showdown value if his range really is that wide. I think preflop is pretty marginal, but I definitely would not call it bad.

Preflop is ugly. You put yourself in exactly the position you wound up in... You can't fold because you know the villian is going to showdown with marginal hands, but you hate a club, you hate making 2 pair with a queen on that board, and you run a good chance of betting for the villian's weak Ace or King the whole way.
Wait for something worthwhile to isolate with.
