Default Negative Calorie Food

Some nutrition experts believe that the foods listed here will supposed to require you to burn more calories digesting them than you will get by eating them. In other words, if you eat these food items constantly you're supposedly going to lose weight because they would result in a calorie deficit. You no longer have to work out, if the negative calorie food theory is correct.

I have a hard time believing that some of those fruits are negative calorie foods. They have a lot of sugar in them.

There was a thread a while back where someone claimed that apples were negative claorie foods and people quickly proved that they are not. I would guess the same is true for many of the foods on that list.

There are 2 sides to the theory and this site claims that no food has "negative calories", except for pure cellulose.

Where is their proof? I doubt that many of the foods on this list are negative calorie, tho Snopes.com claims that celery is.

It's not that the food has less calories, it's that the body only needs a certain amount of nutrients and already has many that these foods offer. So while the food might have 200 calories or something the body only digests like 6.

I know this is true for celery, but I don't know about the others.
