my parents actually bought one of these things. not sure if it's the same model but the price was comparable. i would never spend that much on a vaccum but i must admit its the best vaccum ive ever used.

My uncle used to sell Rainbow vacuums. Same thing. It was like 2k, and my parents bought one as they felt bad for my uncle.
My grandmother recently paid 1500 for a water filter in her kichen. A salesman convinced her that her water is rusty and she was so excited. "I can't wait till people come to my house for buckets of fresh water." It was pretty funny. The next day she was pissed as she got duped into signing a contract so that if she stops paying, they take it from her Social Security payments.

Hilarious, I'm giggling every time I read it picturing this and then the lady writing this story, shaking with anger and trying to finish before her husband forces her to sleep in dirt.
