massive AT&T iPhone bill

A couple days ago my friend got a box from AT&T wireless. He opened it and it turned out to be a bill. In a normal AT&T wireless bill, you get a list of every phone call made during that billing cycle. Well, for the iPhone, you get a list of every data transfer you make. So he had a 250 page AT&T bill, listing every little transfer he made. Cost AT&T over $2 to send it to him.

Makes me want to go get an iPhone, just so I can get a cell bill in a box. Anyone here get one?

I saw a news report about it. That is insane. When will al gore get on about this and complain that apple is ruining the planet by wasting paper.

theres was a news article on this the other day. some lady that does blogging had sent like 10,000 texts and her bill was like two inches thick.

I'd guess 90%+ pay bills by regular check, and the bulk of those that pay online still get regular paper bills. Or am I completely off?

Okay I only ask this because I haven't gotten a paper bill for anything in like the last three years. All ebills, all paying online (through my bank, not through the individual company sites, so it's easy to manage). I even paid my rent online, because I'd submit a payment and my bank would send the landlord a check for me. It was sweet.
