Default Avatars

Is it possible to have an avatar that isn't square? Tends to mess up the picture if it isn't originally square.

You could always take it back to where you got it and try to trade it in for full store credit in exchange for a square one...

Also, the correct answer is to PM kipin (or for him to see this). He lives to resize and fix avatars, although it pisses me off when he takes really hot chicks and reduces them to avatar size, thus removing the right click -> view image bonus fun.

You know, I told him on that first Friday of the thread to walk away quietly and let it die over the weekend. We all would have forgotten his stupidity. But no, he dragged it on and on for another week.

Now we will never forget.

Resizing the image isn't the problem, I did that already to a few avatars. One was 80l 56w and 2p2 made it 80x80 when I tried to use it, that's what I'm wondering about.

The software puts image tags with size of 80x80 for the avatars, so the browser stretches/shrinks to fit, distorting non-square avatars.

Throw into GIMP or other software, pad out to a YxY square with white/black/whatever or crop to a YxY square.
