you should make checking this flop your standard play. so many more hands put bets in when checked to than facing a bet. honestly, check calling all three streets is better than betting the flop. the river is a fold.

no i often c/r the flop or c/c twice and donk the river. even c/c c/r. mainly you just need to give him the chance to bluff the flop.

With your plays, what is your option when he raises the river (granted that he likely wouldn't have the same hand in both situations.)

miles,

you make an interesting point, but i think even the small sample for this read:

[ QUOTE ]
Villain is 63.3/0.0/0.61, 30 Hands

[/ QUOTE ]

means that value betting TP is going to make more money than checking and hoping he does something stupid.

link,

i crying call the river but folding is better.

I call, sadly, then take notes if he's the kind of player who hangs in there for a lone overcard, or the kind who tries to bluff the occasional river.

I'd probably fold, but not feel too happy about having to do so...

I call. I've seen a number of players who call to the river, don't hit anything, but then raise (presumably because they think it's the only way they can win). Without a better read, I think calling is correct.
