Konrad comes to BBV4L
Hey guys,
This will be the Konrad thread! I'll post new comics in this thread. Here's a plot summary for those of you who aren't up on the Konrads. Konrad Konrad is a talking frog with a cape who plays poker. He is a mediocre poker player. His favourite hobby is telling bad jokes. He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. His distinguishing graphical characteristics are that he wears a bow tie and a cape. Mustachioed Jean Mustachioed Jean is a frog with a mustache. He is the smartest of all the frogs. He is more refined than Konrad. The creator has hinted that Mustachioed Jean is French, but has not stated it specifically. His distinguishing characteristics are his mustache and monocle. Trendy Lola Lola is Konrad's girlfriend. Her character has not been fully fleshed out, as she was only just introduced into the strip. Lola has big dilated pupils, wears a flower, and will sport a trendy fashion item (e.g. recently she has been spotted wearing Crocs.) Generally speaking, Konrad strips veer from incomprehensible to unfunny. Past strips have had the punchline rely on understanding commercial shipping abbreviations, or the punchline being a bad pun. Quality is mixed. The consensus is that Konrad was best early on, but standards are rapidly dropping as the creator struggles to think of fresh material. Drawings are done in ink, with text added later in Microsoft Paint. Font used is size 10 Rockwell. Comics are generally released early on Monday morning.
