Default HU vs. MoleDaddy

I don't have hand history because I'm at work. This was in the HU Match Play. MoleDaddy is a good HU player, who's won over 100k. The hand went like this:

We're both deepstacked (~75BB), and blinds are 10/20, so they're both irrelevant to this hand.

Me: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the BB

Button completes. I raise 4xBB. Button calls.

Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet, button calls.

Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Check, check.

River: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

What's my river line? I don't like betting, because I don't think he's calling with anything worse, and he's fully capable of bluff raising. I don't like check/folding because he's bluffing often enough. So I check/called, but I don't think it was the right play.

Also, I should've bet turn, right? But it's so exploitable to raise me on the turn.

he limped the button? wtf?

and he'll call river with way worse than A8

or else he really does suck

best line is probably bet/calling turn though, but i have no clue because you seem to guess at the blinds and dont tell us stacks

There's no way I'm bet/calling turn. If I bet and he raises me, I'm out.

I said we each have about 75BB.

then either

a) he's definitely not that good if that's not the obv line

or

b) you dont have a good idea of how to play HU or with deep stacks and dont feel comfortable getting 2nd pair in on a scary board

What's left?

What's wrong with check-calling?

this river is an easy check call. you could have air after raising and cbetting. he wouldve bet a jack/flush on the turn almost always with a small % of deception, and the K is a decent bluff card if he has air.
