The rake-cap was not increased. The cap stays at 3$ if you play at a $-table, they dont charge 3€(4.25$). If you play on a €-table, the cap is 3€ and it wasn`t 2,12$ before. So everything is fine imo.

A conversion from dollar to euro does not affect the SNGs,
as the rake is fixed at ca. 10% of the buyin...

I'd love to play boss. If only the damn software was at ALL functionnal. I tried grinding pokerheaven at the beginning of the summer and remember wanting to kill myself just playing 2 tables on top of my FTP/PP tables. God that software is aweful.

Fishy games though. Too bad misclicks and timeouts have caused me to lose too much $ to be worth going back to.

As far as rake goes, it doesn't change anything if you play the same tables ($/Euro/TRY) but if you have to switch to euro tables because most tables become euro's all of a sudden, then yeah obviously that's a big rake raise. Not that that wasn't already pointed out by many.

When it was $$$ the most any pot at any level would ever be raked was $3

Now that it's €€€ the most any pot at any level will ever be raked is €3

€3 > $3

Therefore, any time the rake is capped you are paying more in rake regardless of the stakes you are playing.

The rake cap has nothing to do with bb/sb/stakes/your mom/ect. It is a fixed amount for ALL stakes.

Stop being retarded.

[/ QUOTE ]

That would only be true if all the fish were stepping down the limits for 29% because of the currency change. This probably will not happen - people play on 1/2€ practically the same way as they do on 1/2$, they do not care about the currency as long as the difference is not that big. Therefore not only the rakecap but also your winnings will increase almost 40% (measured in $)!
This wouldn't be the case if you'd step up from 1/2$ to 1.5/3$.

And as someone else stated: There are still $-tables at boss media, so there's no reason to complain.

[/ QUOTE ]Really? The top levels have no $ tables now you'll find.

A bigger issue for me in any case is the changing of all player accounts to Euros only, no option, you simply will have your account in Euros.

I was actually told by Celeb poker that isn't an issue, just ask Neteller to change my account to Euros as well and I'll get no charges! Hmmm, small hole in that arguement comes when I try to fund one of the 50+ other poker room accounts I have that are still in dollars

Dollar is the currency of online poker, that has been established over time, it is also largely the "world" currency however hard Brussels trys to push their own uber-currency. To try to turn the clock back and re-invent something that wasn't broken is simply bizzare.

There are a ton of issues with Boss software, the table currency wasn't one - unless you count the fact that they had GBP, USD, EUR & TRY denominations running of course?

are there any sites open to u.s. players that use the euro as its currency? it seems to me that it would be very beneficial to people that live in the u.s. to earn money in euros, but to spend american dollars
