I mean.. this call is sometimes good, but his range has to be pretty wide for you to have like the 40%ish equity you need.

The call is obv thin but not too bad I think. It's really hard for anyone to tell you because this is comes down to feel. You have to decide for yourself how big his range is.

On a side note, limping here is not as bad as you make it sound, especially because sb has you covered. Ansky had a post in his blog here about a hand where Gigabet limped in on the button midway through a tournament. I don't know how deep the stacks were, but I'd assume limping with KTo and 27 BBs is probably profitable if openlimping with 23o is ever profitable.
