Hollywood Aurora is a weird "casino". Weekdays, the place seems like a dayroom for seniors. The place is very somber most times. No good looking women and in fact, not too many people under fifty. Very drab atmosphere. Is the joint trying to "trick" players by having all those tournament tables in another location? If all the poker tables were in one spot, you would have a huge room, which would be EMPTY most times (no dealers/table positions max).

For mid limit, Resorts is the only place. If you play low limit, you could consider the Majestic. Personally, if I lived across the street from Hollywood I'd still drive to Resorts.

If you lived across the street from HW, you'd probably be shot dead already.

Hard to argue that sentiment. Against the advice of the forum I decided to play there while visiting my sister about 10 miles down the road. Showed up and waited 2 hrs for them to open a new table so I could play. 20 minutes later I was force moved to another table (I hate feeder tables).

I had a few hours a couple of days later so decided to go back. This time I called to get on the wait list, but they don't take call-ins. They told me they 3 5/10 games going and only 6 on the wait list so I ventured over. By the time I got there I was about 15th on the list, with no tables to start a new game on. I left.

Though the poker room staff was friendly, I'll be driving the hour plus to Indiana next time I visit.
