Default Truck tire! There\'s a cliff! AAAAHHH!

Driving on the interstate today, in the fast lane, some douchebag runs over a truck tire tread (pretty much the entire tire) and it flies up into the air and smashes into my windshield, nearly going completely through, shattering my windshield and sending glass all over the place. Luckily it hit on the passenger side or else I might be in the hospital. Buckfutter doesn't even SLOW DOWN to make sure I'm still alive.

Called insurance company, submit my claim. Adjuster calls me and we go through the whole "I'm going to record this conversation" crap. I tell him exactly what happened, he records it all, then says "Ok, oh by the way, we won't be covering any of this." Ok thanks a lot scum. Thank god I'm paying for car insurance for times that [censored] happens.

That really sucks dude, stories like this are what make me so [censored] bitter. I say you do everything you can to find out who drove over the tire and burn his [censored] car to the ground.

Russ,

How much money did you save by switching to Geico though? USAA ftw.

How can they not pay for this? Or do you not have comprehensive coverage?

On the bright side windshields are not all that expensive to replace.

USAA tried to lie and weasel their way out of paying a claim they owed me when one of their idiot drivers ran a red light and broadsided me.

No problems w/ USAA here. They fixed my hood when a truck backed over it.

Russ: What reasoning did insurance company give? I'd raise some hell...
