Default ($24) Q9 as TP from BB minraised by BTN

The villain is 21/7, openlimped from BTN for the first time, I guess.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t30/t60
7 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t895
UTG+1: t3060
MP1: t1995
CO: t1595
Button: t1565
Hero: t1390
BB: t3000

Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
4 folds, Button calls t60 (pot was t90), Hero calls t30 (pot was t150), BB checks.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t180, 3 players)
Hero bets t120, BB folds, Button raises to t240, Hero folds.

Like it or not? Is check/folding the flop on such a drawy board weak?

Looks good. He might be stealing, but you've got few outs to improve, and a lot of cards make it hard for you to call any further bets. If he's minraising you here, I don't think you're getting a cheap showdown. Definitely a fold.

Also, I do like the bet. I think you have to at least take a shot with TP3K here.

I think c/f is ok. There's so many danger cards to come on the turn/river and it's hard to know if you're ahead... I don't hate b/f line but most turns you'll probably have to check and give up the pot to further bets.

I like it. Betting for protection is good v 2 opponent but your hand can not handle any pressure.

I know this is super weak, especially against a guy who limped his button, but I usually just fold preflop. Even though you have a decent suited hand I think there are substantial rio with these crap broadway hands, in particular because you are oop, and it's just incredibly rare to make a hand that you would want to stack off with. I used to always play these hands and I think it was a leak.
