Default Two deep hands

both vs same villain who is 21/17/2 if memory serves right, he seems to be making a few moves but hasnt showndown anything ridic. He valuebet tp 10 kick for 3 streets of value so that leads me to think he vbets kinda thin. Since weve been deep it seems hes been playing a lil more cautious vs me, I would say hes a good thinking player but w/ a tendency to make big calls and bluffs and use tricky lines.

Hand 1

Effective stacks:$800

Folded to hero in CO who opens to $14 with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Button and SB fold, Villain (BB) calls $10

flop2 players, $30):
9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets $26
Villain raises to $94
Hero calls $68
Turn2 players, $218):2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero checks
Villain bets $165
Hero?

Hand 2

Effective like 850
Folded to Hero in MP who opens to $14 with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Villain in SB calls $12

Flop(2 players, $32):10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Villain checks
Hero bets $26
Villain calls $26
Turn(2 players, $84):5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Villain Checks
Hero checks
River(2 players, $84):2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Vllain bets $65
Hero raises to $155

my reasoning for the turn check is he might fold most mid pairs bc he has been playing pretty cautiously while deep but if I check my hand is disguised and my line looks pretty wierd, so more thoughts on betting vs checking turn vs this opponent would be nice. Also just checking up that the raise is good, ty in advance.

I'd call hand one (fold river UI I think).

Hand two looks good though, but I'd make it more on the river. I also bet turn.

Hand 1: I think you have things messed up. Why are you acting first from the CO against the BB? Oh and no way am I folding that turn.

Hand 2: Your reasoning for checking the turn has some merit, but I think it would be more effective when you have less cards that hurt your value. What I mean is, you check turn and then a picture card hits the river and he leads. Now you just call. So you gain no value from the turn and minimal value on the river. If you had AQ on a Q32r board, then I like your thought process with checking turn.

Also, with 3 to a straight on board, I now fear losing value (or pot even) from more then just the 12 picture cards. I usually bet turn here but an occassional mix up ain't too bad. Just don't overdo it or lose sight on why you are doing it.
